A huge thanks to Lost Valley for hosting an incredible Fall Fest that drew over 2,000 people to the mountain! Thank you for being a wonderful partner and helping make the Maine Summit Trek for a Tree a success!
Lap boards are used to track each lap up to the peak and back during the Endurance Hiking Challenge. Amina and Eli show off how many laps they completed half way through the Challenge!
This year’s Endurance Hiking Challenge was a record-setting year! With 103 participants, there were 33 youth hikers and 70 over 18 participants, for a range of hikers from ages 8-84!
The Endurance Hiking Challenge dares participants to run, hike, and walk the Access Road of Lost Valley to reach the peak as many times as possible in 4 hours!
Congratulations to the MOST LAPS Winners!

Thank You to Our
Maine Summit Trek for Tree Sponors
The Pinnacle Challenge Sponsor is the lead sponsor for the Big Buck trail that hosts the event’s signature “Fun Run.” The Fun Run promotes accessibility to nature by making walking or running up the trail fun and engaging for all ages and fitness levels. Contestants earn prizes as they climb the trail – the more times, the greater their chance to win! Pinnacle Challenge Sponsors are invited to send employees to volunteer, participate, and be present during the event.
The Endurance Challenge Sponsor iis the lead sponsor for the main event of the Trek: the Endurance Challenge! Hikers register as individuals or as a team to compete in a 4 hour challenge, pushing themselves to hike to the summit as many times as possible. Our Endurance Challenge Sponsor promotes outdoor activity in nature for the whole community through their sponsorship of the Challenge.
Tree Line Trail Sponsors increase access to nature by supporting a team of Tree Street youth hikers. Your sponsorship directly covers the cost of participation for teams of youth in grades 6-12 (i.e. REDWOOD team, SEQUOIA team, TWEENS team) to have novel experiences in nature, all while pushing themselves to their limits in the Endurance Challenge!
Community Access Sponsors support a team of hikers. Your sponsorship directly covers the cost of participation for teams of families, college students, community members, or community partners who may otherwise not be able to access this event. Community Access Sponsors cover the costs for participants to get outside and engage in the Endurance Challenge.
Base Camp Sponsors form the base support for our event. This includes sponsoring music, refreshments, and all of the elements that will make this event possible.
We appreciate the support of each of our sponsors!
Our Maine Summit Trek for Tree Sponsors make it possible to bring youth, families, and everyone from the community into nature
as they hike, walk, and have fun during this special fall event.
