The Maine Summit Trek for Tree event creates an opportunity for the whole community to summit Lost Valley in Auburn, Maine as many times as possible in 4 hours! Together, we will see how many 4k Maine peaks can be climbed both collectively and individually. Bring your competitive spirit or just show up for some fun!
Held in conjunction with Lost Valley’s Annual Fall Fest event, all funds raised go towards supporting Tree Street’s programming!
Join the Fun Run on the Big Buck Trail! The fun run offers EVERYONE of all ages the chance to climb up to the summit, enjoying special stops along the way. Fun Run Challengers have the opportunity to enter a raffle each stop up the trail! The higher you climb, the greater the value of the raffle items offered by our Pinnacle Sponsor, Northeast Bank! Climb as many times as you’d like and hike alongside Tree Street teams of youth, families, and community members. There is no cost to participate.
The Endurance Hiking Challenge dares you to walk, run, and hike the Access Trail to the Lost Valley summit as many times as possible in 4 hours!
There is no registration fee! You can register as an individual or register a team and compete for the most laps completed! Additionally, Endurance Hikers are invited to take on a fundraising challenge that goes to a good cause: supporting Tree Street Youth’s programming! Register as an Endurance Hiker below.

Bring friends and family to ride the chair lift for scenic views, cheer on the Endurance and Fun Run Challengers, and support this event to get Tree Street youth, families, and community members outdoors!

From 11AM-3PM, runners, hikers, and walkers will travel the Access Road of Lost Valley to reach the peak. Take the chair lift down or descend the same path. Repeat as many times as possible to gain the equivalent elevation of some of Maine’s biggest peaks.
At only 1/2 a mile and 200’ of gain, give it a try, how many laps can you get? Burn your legs and get your heart pumping, whether you hike for 1 hour as hard as you can or all 4 hours, challenge yourself!
There is NO registration fee to participate! Register as an individual or register a team of friends, family members, or co-workers to compete to see how many times you can reach the summit!
All Endurance Hikers receive special event swag like Bombas socks, a long-sleeve moisture wicking shirt, and more!
The day will wrap up with an awards ceremony that includes recognition for most laps, most fundraised, and more. We hope you will join us in taking on the Endurance Hiking Challenge!
